Maize Bashkirovets

Stability and Adaptability in Local Conditions

"Bashkyrovets" is a classic variety developed by the Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics of the NAS of Ukraine. While the market is saturated with expensive hybrids, this variety remains a reliable tool for farmers who value proven genetics and practical results over aggressive marketing.

Key Advantages

• Dual-Purpose Use: The variety shows excellent performance for both silage production and grain harvesting. High biomass production makes it a preferred choice for livestock operations.
• Dent Grain Type: The structure of the grain ensures a high yield of dry matter and excellent energy value, essential for animal feed.
• Climate Resilience: The originator has embedded high resistance to environmental stressors common in Ukrainian regions. It is less demanding of intensive input programs compared to imported hybrids.

Who is this choice for?

This variety is an optimal solution for farms looking for a balance between seed costs and predictable results. If your strategy focuses on high-quality silage with high starch content while maintaining moderate investment in mineral nutrition, "Bashkyrovets" meets these expectations perfectly. It is more forgiving of agronomic errors that can often be fatal for highly sensitive hybrids.

It is important to note: as a variety, "Bashkyrovets" allows farms to produce their own seed material, reducing dependency on annual market purchases. While it may not compete with narrow-specialized intensive hybrids in record-breaking yields, it offers consistent productivity. It is a choice for those prioritizing long-term economic efficiency and operational stability.
