Maize BELAMI

Genetic Potential and Grain Structure

The «Belami» hybrid by Caussade Semences is a simple cross-hybrid designed for dual-purpose performance. Its technical core relies on the flint-dent grain type, boasting a 69% starch content. This configuration makes it a premium choice for both grain production and high-quality silage, ensuring maximum nutritional efficiency for livestock applications.

Defense Mechanisms and Pathology Resistance

With a maturity period of 90–100 days, Belami is engineered for resilience in diverse growing conditions. A key focus of its selection is robustness against smut diseases. The hybrid exhibits strong genetic resistance to common smut, ensuring the structural integrity of the stalk and the healthy development of the ear throughout the late stages of the growth cycle.

Cultivation Standards

To maximize yields, a seeding density of 75,000 to 80,000 plants per hectare is recommended. This plant spacing is calibrated to reduce resource competition, allowing each plant to fully develop its yield potential. Belami demonstrates notable stability in its performance across varying soil types and management intensities, maintaining consistent grain quality and moisture levels at harvest.
