Description IR 404
IR 404 is a high-quality dent corn hybrid with FAO 350, featuring high potential yield and large yellow-orange kernels. The plant is medium-late maturing, with a strong stalk and robust root system, providing excellent resistance to lodging and good adaptability to various growing conditions. The grain has rapid moisture release, facilitating harvesting and reducing losses during storage.

The hybrid exhibits high cold tolerance and resistance to diseases such as helminthosporium, as well as moderate resistance to fusarium. Plants retain green mass throughout the entire vegetation period, promoting a prolonged active growth phase and the formation of large, cylindrical ears densely filled with kernels. Thanks to its well-developed root system and strong stalk, crops remain in excellent condition until harvest, resisting lodging and pest damage.

IR 404 is suitable for cultivation with minimal or zero tillage and can successfully be grown on both conventional fields and irrigated plots, significantly increasing yield. Sowing is recommended at soil temperatures not lower than +9 °C at the seed depth. This hybrid is a reliable choice for achieving stable and high yields of grain under various climatic conditions.
