Maize 118 NS

Hybrid corn 118 NS is an early-maturing crop with high yield and good adaptability to various climatic conditions. This simple hybrid features medium plant height and medium-length cylindrical ears with 16-18 rows of yellow-orange kernels. The kernels are dent-type, standard quality, with a 1000-kernel weight of about 300 grams. The hybrid is resistant to southern helminthosporiosis, enhancing its reliability in cultivation. 118 NS exhibits good drought tolerance and is suitable for cultivation at elevations up to 800 meters above sea level. The plant stem is elastic, resistant to lodging and breakage, which helps maintain yield under adverse weather conditions. Potential dry grain yield exceeds 11 tons per hectare, while average grain yield is approximately 42.6 centners per hectare, meeting high standards. For optimal silage mass production, seed density should be increased by 10-15%. Hybrid 118 NS is suitable for cultivation in various regions, including the Central Chernozem region and the North Caucasus area. It has medium anthocyanin pigment intensity in silk and medium ear stalk coloration. Due to its characteristics and disease resistance, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high and stable corn yields, both for grain and silage.
