SZTK 191 is an early-maturing three-line hybrid corn (Zea mays L.) intended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including West Siberia, East Siberia, and the Far East. The grain of this hybrid has a cream-colored, toothed structure and a yellow color, while the ear has a weakly conical shape with a colored core. Due to its characteristics, SZTK 191 demonstrates high yield: in the West Siberian region, it reaches approximately 49.5 c/ha, in the East Siberian region — 32.4 c/ha, and in the Far Eastern region, it reaches 67.7 c/ha, exceeding standard benchmarks by 5.1 c/ha.
Corn SZTK 191 is resistant to southern helminthosporium, which increases its reliability and reduces the risk of yield loss. This hybrid is versatile, suitable for both grain and feed purposes. The plant is warm-loving and light-loving, requiring appropriate growing conditions, including soils with pH in the range of 6.6–7.7 and bulk density of 1.1–1.3 g/cm³. Seeds begin to germinate at temperatures from 10°C, and seedlings can withstand frosts down to 2–3°C.
The vegetation period of corn SZTK 191 ranges from 90 to 150 days, corresponding to early maturity. For successful growth and development of the plant, nutrients are required, particularly nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in quantities of 25 kg, 9 kg, and 20 kg respectively. A strong root system and plant height, varying from 50–80 cm to 5–6 m, ensure good resilience and productivity. Due to these qualities, SZTK 191 is a sought-after hybrid in the agricultural sector, especially in regions with suitable climatic conditions.
