Clover Valeria

Breeding and Provenance

Valeria is a white clover (Trifolium repens) variety of Ukrainian selection, established as a benchmark for creating resilient and durable turf. In the context of variable climate conditions, this variety has proven itself as a reliable tool for developing dense, low-growing swards that maintain both ornamental value and nutritional density over multiple seasons.

Agronomic Profile and Disease Resistance

The primary advantage of Valeria is its robust resistance to a spectrum of fungal diseases, a trait that often undermines many imported varieties under local soil conditions. The plant features:

• High regeneration rate: It recovers rapidly after grazing or mowing, making it an optimal choice for high-intensity pasture management.
• Dense sod formation: Active stolon development allows the plant to form a thick carpet, effectively suppressing weed invasion.
• Aesthetic appeal: The abundant white floral display is not only visually pleasing but also supports local pollinators, enhancing the biodiversity of the site.

Market Position

Valeria currently holds a solid position in both professional landscaping and livestock management. Unlike highly specialized niche varieties, this clover acts as a versatile solution: it is equally effective in park-style turf where trampling resistance is essential, and in agricultural grass mixtures for high-protein grazing. The consistency of its characteristics makes Valeria a preferred choice for those seeking a balance between the cost of seed material and long-term operational reliability.
