Clover Otto

German breeding excellence for high-quality forage

The «Otto» clover by P.H.Petersen Saatzucht Lundsgaard represents the pinnacle of German agricultural engineering, specifically tailored for professional forage production. In today’s competitive livestock sector, where nutritional profile dictates herd productivity, choosing a clover variety with consistent yield and feed quality is paramount for long-term farm success.

Focus on green mass production

The defining feature of «Otto» is its specialized development as a green mass source. Unlike multipurpose varieties, this white clover, developed by P.H. Petersen Saatzucht Lundsgaard, is optimized for intensive use in both pasture systems and hay meadows. Its primary function is to deliver a reliable, high-protein feed component that supports optimal animal growth and milk production.

Why choose «Otto»?

• Rapid regrowth: Engineered to recover quickly after mowing, allowing for multiple cuts throughout the growing season without plant exhaustion.
• Predictable performance: The variety is characterized by high genetic stability, ensuring uniform growth across the field, which simplifies harvest management.
• Nutritional value: With its white inflorescence and excellent leaf-to-stem ratio, it provides the essential nutrients required for efficient feed conversion in ruminants.

Who is this variety for?

«Otto» is ideal for agronomists and livestock farmers who prioritize the creation of long-lasting, highly productive grasslands. It excels in environments where feed quality cannot be compromised. By selecting this P.H.Petersen variety, you are choosing a predictable tool for reducing feed costs and maximizing the output of your meadows. Whether incorporated into complex forage mixtures or grown as a standalone crop, «Otto» delivers the consistency that professional agriculture demands.
