KRASNOUFIMSKIY 4

The hybrid clover variety Krasnoufimsky 4 is a perennial plant recommended for cultivation in all regions of the Russian Federation. This variety has been included in the State Register since 1972 and meets the requirements of the GOST R 52325-2005 standard, which guarantees high seed quality. The applicant for the variety is the Ural Federal Agrarian Scientific Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The plant is characterized by a powerful root system with a main taproot penetrating the soil to a depth of 2–3 meters and a main mass of roots at a depth of 5–50 cm. The stems are erect or ascending, branched, and reach lengths from 30 to 65 cm and more. The leaves are bright green in color with a smooth surface, and the inflorescences have a spherical head shape located on a long axillary peduncle. The fruits are elliptical pods containing two to four seeds; the seeds have an oval-triangular shape and vary in color from green to almost black.

The Krasnoufimsky 4 variety is noted for its resilience to soil conditions and high hay yield, reaching up to 9 tons per hectare. It is widely used in mixtures with other grasses for creating meadows and pastures, making it a valuable component in agriculture for ensuring a quality fodder supply.
