Clover Onyx

A Breakthrough in Landscape Design

The 'Onyx' clover variety is the result of long-term work by breeders at the Ural Federal Agrarian Research Center (Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences) in collaboration with NPK Rest. Unlike fodder varieties focused on biomass yield, 'Onyx' was developed as a specialized solution for decorative landscaping.

Key Characteristics

• Intended Use: Creation of aesthetically pleasing lawns, park zones, and landscape compositions.
• Origin: Russian selection, adapted to the climatic conditions of regions with temperate and cold climates.
• Crop Type: Perennial legume with high survival rates and consistent aesthetic quality throughout the growing season.

The reputation of this variety is built on its predictability. In the climate of its origin, 'Onyx' demonstrates excellent turf density, which is critical for decorative ground cover. The originators paid special attention to winter hardiness and the plant's ability to maintain a rich leaf color even under intensive use. Using this variety allows for a uniform carpet that requires fewer fertilizers compared to grass-only lawns, thanks to natural nitrogen fixation. 'Onyx' is the choice for those seeking a balance between durability, low maintenance, and clean visual lines in urban and private landscaping.
