Clover Vilia

Aesthetics and Durability: The Viliya Clover

Developed by the Institute of Fodder of the UAAS, the Viliya creeping clover variety occupies a distinct niche in the Ukrainian agricultural sector. Unlike forage varieties focused on maximizing biomass, this variety was bred specifically for its ornamental qualities and exceptional resistance to trampling.

Why choose this variety?

• Low growth and dense canopy: The variety forms a neat, thick carpet that does not require frequent mowing, which is critical for residential landscaping and public park zones.
• High regeneration capacity: Thanks to a robust root system, Viliya recovers quickly after intense mechanical stress, making it an ideal choice for areas with high foot traffic.
• Adaptability: The originator took into account Ukraine's specific climatic conditions, ensuring the variety demonstrates reliable winter hardiness and resilience to fluctuating soil moisture levels.

Who is this best for?

Viliya is an optimal choice for landscape designers and homeowners looking for a low-maintenance alternative to high-demand turf grasses. While traditional lawns often require constant watering and fertilization, this clover maintains a presentable appearance even on poorer soils and in partial shade. One practical note: like any clover, Viliya is highly attractive to bees. This is a significant advantage for eco-friendly gardens, though it is a factor to consider when designing relaxation areas for those with allergies.
