Clover NOVICHOK

Proven Disease Resistance for Forage Reliability

The «Novichok» clover variety, developed by the Federal Scientific Center for Fiber Crops, is designed for agricultural producers prioritizing consistency and forage quality. Its core strength lies in its genetic resistance to Fusarium and Anthracnose—two primary diseases that frequently compromise clover stands in temperate climates.

Key Botanical and Agricultural Traits

• Plant Height: 40–80 cm, ensuring ease of mechanical harvesting.
• Flower Color: Distinctive purple inflorescences.
• Adaptability: Bred specifically for Russian soil and climatic conditions to ensure multi-year field productivity.

Unlike many commercial varieties that succumb to root rot or fungal pressure under high humidity, «Novichok» maintains its density. This resilience reduces the need for expensive chemical interventions, making it an economically viable choice for long-term pasture development and high-protein hay production.

Why Choose This Variety?

This variety is optimal for farmers looking to mitigate biological risks. Developed by the team of Elena Levchenkova, Tatyana Dytskova, and Valentina Kozlova, it balances robust health with reliable biomass yield. While it responds well to standard mineral fertilization, its primary advantage is the inherent capacity to survive where less resistant varieties would fail. «Novichok» offers a straightforward approach to forage management, combining high yields with superior tolerance to field-specific stressors.
