Clover Faraon Nosivskyi

Practical Application of 'Faraon Nosivskyi' Clover

Developed by the Nosivka Research Station, 'Faraon Nosivskyi' is a red clover variety specifically bred for Ukrainian climatic conditions. It is a dual-purpose crop, highly valued by farmers for both forage production and landscape management.

Forage and Farm Productivity

In a farm setting, the primary objective of this variety is to secure a high-protein green mass. With a mature height ranging from 30 to 60 cm, it is perfectly suited for intensive silage and haylage production. The 15-25 day flowering window provides a strategic advantage, allowing farmers to time their mowing operations to capture peak nutritional value before the stems begin to lignify.

• Livestock Management: Excellent as a high-protein component in cattle rations, reducing the need for expensive commercial supplements.
• Soil Health: As a legume, it performs essential nitrogen fixation, improving soil structure and fertility for subsequent crops in the rotation cycle.

Lawn and Landscape Use

Due to its resilience to frequent mowing and moderate growth habit, 'Faraon Nosivskyi' is widely used for functional lawns. It recovers rapidly after cutting and forms a dense sward, providing a durable ground cover that requires fewer inputs than traditional monoculture grasses.

Choosing a locally bred variety ensures better adaptation to regional temperature and moisture fluctuations, providing a more stable and predictable return on investment throughout the growing season.
