Description NIKOLINA
The Nikolina chrysanthemum variety is a small-flowered plant with an upright bush of medium foliage and growth. The bush height reaches 60 to 80 cm, and the flower diameter ranges from 3.5 to 6 cm. The flowers are double, orange in color with an original pastel red-orange hue and a dark purple eye, giving them an anemone-like shape. The peduncles are sturdy, with up to 12 flowers on one peduncle and about 85 on a first-year plant. The leaves are dark green and hairy, emphasizing the plant's decorativeness.

The flowering period begins in September and continues until mid-November, lasting about 30 days. The variety shows good resistance to adverse weather conditions: flowers shed slowly, and color does not fade in the sun. Disease and pest resistance is moderate, including fusarium and thrips, while the variety has good protection against aphids. Nikolina has moderate heat tolerance, drought resistance, and hardiness, allowing it to survive winter in open ground even in northern regions of Russia, such as Siberia, the Perm region, and Sakhalin.

Chrysanthemum Nikolina is widely used for cut flowers and decorative landscaping of garden and park plantings. Flowers last long in cut form – up to 10 days, making them in demand for bouquets. The plant is undemanding in care and reproduces by green cuttings or bush division in spring. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to plant rooted cuttings in open ground from May to August, choosing locations with good drainage to avoid waterlogging. Thanks to its decorativeness, resistance, and simplicity of agrotechnology, chrysanthemum Nikolina is an excellent choice for creating bright and long-lasting floral compositions.
