This variety was obtained by crossing the cherry 'Slava Zhukova' with 'Bigarreau'. Originator — VNIIGiSPR named after I.V. Michurin. Authors: O.S. Zhukov, G.G. Nikiforova. Under state variety testing since 1995.
The tree has moderate growth vigor with a pyramidal crown. Shoots of medium thickness, straight, brownish in color. Leaves are large, dark green. Leaf margin is toothed. Petiole is medium, thick. Flowers are large, white.
Fruits ripen early, large (up to 6.0 g), dark red in color. Flesh is dense, pleasant dessert flavor (taste rating 4.5 points). Stalk is medium length, thick, easily separates from the branch; fruits do not drop off at maturity. Pit separates easily from the flesh. Fruits contain 14.8% dry matter, 13.52% sugars, 1.09% acids, and 10.56 mg/100g ascorbic acid. Fruits are of universal use.
Begins fruiting in the 4th to 5th year after planting in the garden.
