This variety was obtained by gamma irradiation of Slava Zhukov cherry cuttings at a dose of 50 Gy. Originator — VYIIGiSPR named after I.V. Michurin. Authors: O.S. Zhukov, G.G. Nikiforova. Under state variety testing since 1994.
Medium-growing tree with a pyramidal crown. Medium-thick, straight, brown-red branches. Medium-sized leaves, finely toothed margins, green color. Short petioles, large white flowers.
Fruits are large (4.5–5.0), heart-shaped. Fruit color is dark burgundy, almost black. Flesh color is light red. Juice is dark-colored. Skin is firm, flesh is somewhat fibrous. Stone is large. Fruit flavor is sour-sweet, tasting score 4.5 points. Chemical composition of fruits: dry matter content 16.14%, sugars 12.78%, acids 0.83%, ascorbic acid 6.6 mg/100g.
Early-ripening variety. Begins fruiting on the 4th–5th year after planting in the garden.
Advantages of the variety: high yield, resistance to coccomyces, fruits of universal use with high transportability.
