Nayada

The 'Nayada' cherry variety is high-yielding and belongs to early-ripening types. It was developed by the Donetsk Experimental Station for Horticulture through crossbreeding of 'Griot Ostegaimsky' and 'Valeriy Chkalov' varieties, combining the best qualities of both cherry and plum. Trees are medium-sized with attractive broad-oval crowns and thick gray-brown branches. They begin fruiting on the 3rd-4th year after planting, allowing for a quick harvest.

The fruits of the 'Nayada' variety have a deep red, saturated color and a flat-round shape, weighing approximately 9-10 grams. The flesh is sweet, without acidity, with a distinct plum-cherry aroma, and the stone is small and easily separates. The juice is red or dark-red. Due to its excellent taste qualities, which received high tasting ratings, the cherry is suitable for fresh consumption as well as various types of preservation.

The variety is characterized by frost resistance and resistance to fungal diseases, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in both private gardens and industrial scales. The fruits ripen in the last decade of June, enabling an early harvest. 'Nayada' adapts well to various growing conditions and provides a stable, abundant yield annually, combining attractive appearance with exceptional taste.
