Dary Mliyeva — an early Ukrainian cherry variety that begins fruiting in the fourth year after planting. The tree is tall, reaching over 4.5 meters in height, with a dense, broad pyramidal canopy and oval leaves with serrated edges. It has a strong root system, providing good resistance to adverse conditions. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and drought tolerance, as well as good resistance to diseases and pests, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in the forest-steppe and Polissia regions. The fruits of Dary Mliyeva are large, round or heart-shaped, dark red in color with an attractive burgundy hue when fully ripe. The average berry weight is 6–8 grams. The flesh is red, moderately firm, very juicy and sweet with a harmonious flavor, slightly tart. The stone is medium-sized, round, and easily separates from the flesh. The juice is also red, and the thin, delicate skin adds to the berries' attractiveness. The variety is versatile: the fruits are excellent for fresh consumption as well as for preservation. Cherries tolerate transportation well and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week, retaining their flavor. Fruit production is abundant and regular, allowing for a high yield — up to 70 kg of berries can be harvested from a single mature tree. The tasting score of this variety is 4.5 points, confirming its high flavor quality and popularity among gardeners.
