Description LILYA
Lilya is a hybrid of cherry and cherry with yellow fruits that combines the best qualities of both species. The berries have an unusual yellow color for cherry, and a tender pulp with a characteristic aroma and cherry acidity, supplemented with the sweetness of cherry. Fruiting occurs in medium maturity terms, usually in the second or third decade of June, which makes this variety attractive to gardeners wishing to obtain an early harvest.

The Lilya tree is medium-sized with a spherical, sparse and spreading crown. It enters fruiting on the 6-7th year after planting. Leaves are dark green, elliptical in shape, and flowers are large, white, gathered in triple inflorescences. Fruits are large, round, kidney-shaped, with an average weight of about 8.3 grams, with a short and thick pedicel that easily detaches from the branch. Fruit skin is of medium roughness, without a waxy bloom, pulp is dark red, juice is dark red, taste is sour-sweet with a tasting score of 4.8 points.

The variety is characterized by good drought resistance, heat tolerance and resistance to stresses and fungal diseases, which makes it a reliable choice for growing in various climatic conditions. The plant requires standard care, including watering, fertilizing and pruning. Lilya berries are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for making compotes, jams and other culinary products, which expands their usage possibilities in the home.
