The 'Amulet' cherry variety is the result of the work of Ukrainian breeders, obtained by crossing the Valery Chkalov and Drogana yellow varieties. This tree is characterized by great growth strength, reaching a height of 4-5 meters, has strong branches and a spherical crown. Fruiting begins in the 3-4th year after planting, the berries ripen on one-year-old shoots in the last decade of June, which allows obtaining a stable and abundant harvest.
The fruits of 'Amulet' are large, weighing up to 10 grams, round-heart-shaped with a dark-burgundy skin, which is thin but strong. The flesh is semi-cartilaginous, juicy and tender with thin veins, has a sweet-and-sour taste with a slight acidity, which gives the berries a special charm. The stone is round and separates easily, which makes the variety convenient for consumption. The tasting score of the variety is 4.9 points, which confirms its high taste qualities.
The 'Amulet' variety is characterized by high winter hardiness up to -26°C and resistance to fungal diseases, as well as to damage of flowers by late frosts.
