Origin of the variety — Shedra x Zakharovskaya + Kрупноплодная № 6. Breeder — Tatarian NIISS. Authors: L.A. Sevastyanova, V.A. Naumov. Introduced into the State Register in 1997 for the Middle Volga and Ural regions.
Bush is dwarf; crown is round, medium density, strong foliage; mature shoot with strong silvering; buds small, medium, vegetative conical, generative ovate, slightly deviated from the shoot; leaf narrowly oval, green, no anthocyanin, apex strongly pointed, base acute, serration of edge fine-toothed, surface of blade shiny, flat; number of flowers in inflorescence small (1-3), petals loosely arranged, white. Flowering and fruiting type mixed.
Fruit: mass 4.8 g, height 22 mm, width 20 mm, thickness 18 mm, heart-shaped, small and round depression, apex narrowly round, fruit and flesh color dark red, juice color red, flesh density medium; pedicel short (40 mm), thin; stone narrowly ovate, mass 0.2 g, constitutes 4.2% of fruit mass, light brown color, apex pointed; base narrowly round, detachment from flesh medium.
Fruit appearance good; flesh juiciness medium; taste good, slightly acidic-sweet; peculiarity of detachment from pedicel — flesh of depression slightly damaged in a small part of fruits; not suitable for mechanical harvesting; weak resistance to fruit cracking. Variety of universal use. Dry matter content — 17.0%, sugars — 10.0%, free acids — 1.3%, ascorbic acid — 14.25 mg/100g.
Flowering period — 2-3 decade of May; ripening early-medium, uniform; age of fruiting early (2-3 years after planting); plant longevity 15-17 years; self-fertile. Yield — 10 t/ha. Tree and shoots resistant to winter frosts; generative buds and flowers moderately resistant to winter frosts and spring frosts; moderately resistant to coccomycosis and cherry fruit fly; resistant to gummosis (gommosis). Production evaluation of the variety is good; use of the variety — as a selection resource, for amateur and industrial cultivation; suitable for intensive orchards.
Advantages of the variety: winter hardiness, yield, self-fertility, dwarf growth, large fruit size, good rooting ability of green cuttings.
Disadvantages: low transportability of fruits.
