Zabuta

Zabuta is a high-yielding hybrid of cherry and plum, developed by the Donetsk Experimental Fruit Station through crossing the varieties "Griot Ostegaimsky" and "Valeriy Chkalov". The trees are medium-sized, reaching up to 3 meters in height, with a beautiful broad-oval crown and thick gray-brown branches. The crown combines features of both cherry and plum, and large buds cover the branches in early May, promoting early flowering and fruiting as early as the 3rd–4th year after planting. The variety is distinguished by high cold resistance and good resistance to diseases, including fungal infections.
