Elektra

The cherry variety Electra is a medium-sized fruit tree with a spreading or slightly raised crown of moderate density, reaching a height of up to 4.5 meters. This variety is distinguished by its early ripening — fruits ripen at the beginning of June, making it attractive for commercial cultivation. Electra is characterized by high fruiting speed and stable, abundant yields with proper care. For successful fruiting, trees should be planted on sunny, open sites with fertile, well-drained soils and regular watering. Saplings are planted in autumn or early spring, following a 5x5 meter spacing scheme. For pollination, it requires companion planting with varieties Valeriy Chkalov or Large-fruited.

The fruits of Electra cherry are large, weighing 8 to 12 grams, with a dense dark-red skin and characteristic gloss. The berries have a broad heart-shaped form, with semi-fleshy, juicy, sweet flesh and a dense structure, ensuring good transportability and market quality. The stone is of medium size and easily separates from the flesh, and the fruits detach from the stem without juice release, facilitating harvest.

The variety exhibits high cold resistance, tolerating temperatures down to -25°C, and moderate resistance to diseases. To maintain tree health and ensure high yields, annual pruning, fertilization, and spraying are recommended.
