Karnaval

Carnival carrot is a mid-season variety with a vegetation period from germination to technical maturity of 90-120 days. The roots are conical with a blunt tip, sometimes pointed, 14-16 cm long and weighing 75 to 200 grams. Their surface is smooth, orange with slightly visible eyes. The flesh is rich orange, tender and juicy, with a small core, making this variety especially attractive to consumers.

Carnival is characterized by high marketability and good storability, allowing it to maintain quality for a long time after harvest. The yield of this variety is 60 to 90 tons per hectare at a plant density of about 1-1.2 million per hectare. Thanks to these characteristics, Carnival carrots are widely used both fresh and in the canning industry.

For cultivation, direct sowing of seeds in the field is recommended, either on ridges or without them. Cultivation on ridges is especially effective in areas with sufficient moisture on heavy and medium soils, as well as with irrigation, which contributes to obtaining uniform and long roots with high market quality and facilitates harvesting. In the absence of ridges, row planting with 30-45 cm between rows is recommended. With drip irrigation, strip-lane sowing schemes are optimal, ensuring uniform watering and feeding of plants.
