Cabbage REDKAP

Ensuring Consistent Yields with Clause's Redcap

For growers focused on the fresh produce market, selecting the right cabbage hybrid is a critical decision that balances yield reliability with marketability. The Redcap hybrid from the French breeder Clause provides a robust solution, specifically engineered to handle field pressures while delivering a premium product for the consumer.

Combating Fusarium with Genetic Resistance

Fusarium wilt is a major threat to cabbage productivity, often causing significant losses that jeopardize seasonal profitability. Redcap is bred with high resistance to this soil-borne pathogen. Practically, this offers several benefits to the grower:

• Reduced reliance on chemical fungicides, leading to lower production costs.
• Reliable field performance even in areas with high disease pressure.
• Higher marketable yield percentage at harvest, as plant loss is significantly minimized.

Market-Ready Traits and Field Performance

Redcap forms compact, dense heads that are highly valued for their handling durability. The deep, dark green color meets the aesthetic expectations of modern retail and fresh markets. Because of its compact plant habit, it thrives under standard planting densities, ensuring excellent airflow which further lowers the risk of secondary fungal issues.

Farmers choose Redcap for its uniform maturation, a feature that simplifies harvest operations and logistics. When you need a product that maintains its visual appeal and structural integrity from the field to the crate, Redcap delivers consistently. It is a strategic choice for operations seeking to mitigate risk while ensuring the final produce is of the highest market quality.
