Chessma F1

Cabbage Chessma F1 is an early hybrid of white cabbage, developed by Dutch breeders of the company Bejo Zaden. This variety is characterized by a short growing period, which is approximately 50-67 days depending on growing conditions. Cabbage is successfully cultivated both in open ground and in protected environments, including polyethylene tunnels, greenhouses, and under cover materials. The plant demonstrates high resistance to adverse weather conditions and tolerance to fusarium wilt, ensuring stable yields even under short-term stress. The heads of Chessma F1 cabbage have a round-oval or round-pointed shape with a dense internal structure, which contributes to excellent transportability and preservation of market appearance during long-distance transport. Head weight varies from 0.7 to 3 kg, making this hybrid versatile for various purposes. Unlike most early varieties, Chessma F1 is suitable not only for fresh consumption and cooking but also for pickling, expanding its application in culinary and food industries. The recommended planting density is 45 to 50 thousand plants per hectare, which corresponds to 6-7 plants per square meter. Thanks to high density and compact heads, cabbage tolerates crowding well and maintains high product quality. Harvest storage duration reaches one month, and the harvesting period lasts approximately 7-10 days, allowing effective planning of harvest and product realization. Chessma F1 is an excellent choice for cultivation both for fresh markets and for processing.
