Violeta

Cabbage variety Violeta is a late-maturing type of kohlrabi with a maturation period of 110 to 125 days, intended for autumn harvest. The plant forms a medium-sized semi-erect rosette with a diameter of 50-70 centimeters. Leaves are oval-shaped, flat, colored blue-green with moderate lobing and medium veining, serration, and notched edges. Veins and petioles have a light-purple hue, and leaf blades are covered with slight blistering and medium waxy coating.

The stem-fruit is round-convex in shape, deep purple in color, medium-sized, weighing 0.5 to 0.7 kilograms with a flat apex. The flesh is white, tender, and juicy, with a delicate and pleasant aroma, making this variety especially valuable for home cooking. Flavor qualities of the fruit are high, and with proper agronomic practices, one can obtain a yield of 2.2-2.6 kilograms per square meter.

Variety Violeta is characterized by high resistance to woody stem formation and stem splitting, as well as good cold tolerance. Storage quality is medium, but with proper storage, cabbage retains its qualities until spring. This variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in protected environments, adapted to various climatic conditions and resistant to bolting.
