Cabbage Gigant

Stability and Power: Czech Breeding at Work

The «Gigant» cabbage from the Czech company Moravoseed Cz A.S. is the choice for professionals focused on high-quality yields with long storage potential. This mid-late white cabbage hybrid, developed with the contribution of breeders from "Flora Inter" and Moravoseed, performs reliably in the field thanks to its genetically inherent resistance to major pathogens, particularly Fusarium wilt.

Agronomic Features and Yield Potential

The maturity period for «Gigant» is 110–120 days. At a recommended planting density of 25,000–30,000 plants per hectare, the variety delivers impressive results: dense, rounded, dark green heads reaching a weight of 3 to 7 kg. Such significant weight, combined with excellent density, makes this hybrid a favorite for both the fresh market and food processing, including pickling.

Storage and Market Positioning

A key advantage of this model is its shelf life. The cabbage is capable of maintaining its marketability for 6–8 months, allowing farmers to market their produce during the most profitable off-season periods when vegetable prices traditionally rise. The stability of «Gigant» in both the field and storage is backed by years of experience with Moravoseed seeds across professional farming operations in Eastern and Central Europe.
