NAVAHO

NAVAHO – a medium-sized chokeberry decorative variety with an upright crown and medium density. The tree is characterized by moderate growth, making it convenient for planting in parks and gardens as a standalone plant or in groups.

The NAVAHO variety fruits are large, round, and weigh about 0.51 g. They have a dark red color with a coating of the same shade, and small white spots are present on the surface, clearly visible under light illumination. The internal taste is juicy and sweet, due to a sugar content of 16.36% and low acidity – 0.71%. The yield reaches 23.9 c/ha, making the tree a productive source of berries.

The variety is characterized by cold resistance down to -27.2 °C, as well as low susceptibility to damage by mountain chokeberry fly and leaf-mining sawfly. However, it can be damaged by clasterosporiasis. Thanks to winter hardiness and decorative appearance, NAVAHO is suitable for creating hedges, borders, and as a separate accent in landscape design.
