Pink Dream is a medium-sized ornamental tree reaching a height of four to five meters. It has a spreading and loose canopy, giving the plant an airy look and allowing it to let light through well. The foliage starts bright green and turns purplish-red as it develops, creating a contrast with the pink inflorescences.
Flowering occurs in May, when dense clusters of 12–15 small light-pink flowers form on the branches. The cylindrical inflorescences are about 12–15 cm long and 3.5–4 cm wide, adding special decorativeness to the tree. The fruits are round, black, and glossy, with an average weight of about 0.48 g; they are edible and add additional interest to the plant.
This tree is noted for its hardiness and frost resistance: it can withstand temperatures down to -34 °C. The plant prefers sunny locations or partial shade but adapts easily to different soil conditions. Thanks to its bright leaves and abundant flowering, 'Pink Dream' becomes an excellent choice for landscaping gardens and parks, where both decorative durability and moderate labor intensity of care are valued.
