Description SEMYONOVNA
Semyonovna is a medium-maturing basil variety that reaches market readiness 56-60 days after full seedling emergence. The plant weighs 225-260 grams, the rosette diameter is 13-16 cm, and the height reaches 15-17 cm. The leaves are dark purple, medium-sized, wide-ovoid in shape, with a smooth surface. A characteristic clove-pepper aroma makes this basil particularly valuable for culinary use.

This variety is recommended for use both fresh and dried, allowing it to be utilized in home cooking and canning to impart a rich flavor and aroma to dishes. The yield of greens is 2.5-2.7 kg per square meter, ensuring a good output of product when growing.

For planting, seeds can be sown for seedlings at the end of March - beginning of April, and then the seedlings can be transplanted into open ground at the end of May - beginning of June at the phase of 5-6 true leaves with a row spacing of 30x25 cm. Direct sowing of seeds into open ground from the end of May is also possible at a depth of 1-1.5 cm, followed by thinning to a distance of 15-20 cm between plants. To obtain high-quality greens throughout the season, repeated sowings with an interval of 3 weeks are recommended until mid-July. The seeds of the variety correspond to high sowing qualities.
