Barley Tripol

Operational insights: The 'Tripol' spring barley

For an agronomist managing fields, choosing the 'Tripol' variety, developed by the Mironivsky Institute of Wheat, is a decision based on yield predictability. This spring barley is specifically optimized for varied agro-climatic conditions, offering high plasticity and resilience against environmental stress.

Field performance and maintenance

From an operator's perspective, 'Tripol' is a high-tech variety. Its short, sturdy stalk prevents lodging even under high nitrogen fertilization or heavy rainfall, which is a major advantage during harvest. The crop matures uniformly, allowing you to calibrate your harvester settings once and maintain consistency throughout the entire field. This simplicity translates into faster harvesting times and fewer maintenance headaches with your cutting equipment.

Agronomic efficiency

• Disease management: The variety shows natural resistance to powdery mildew and rust, reducing the need for intensive fungicide applications and lowering input costs.
• Seed efficiency: High tillering capacity allows for optimized seeding rates, ensuring a dense stand with lower seed volumes.
• Adaptability: 'Tripol' maintains a high grain-fill potential even in moderate spring drought, making it a reliable choice for variable seasons.

If you are looking for a variety that responds predictably to fertilizers and minimizes the risk of harvest losses due to lodging or shattering, 'Tripol' is a robust asset for your crop rotation cycle.
