Spring barley variety SN-28 belongs to mid-season crops with a vegetation period of 75-85 days. This variety is characterized by early maturity and relatively high yield, making it attractive for agricultural production. The plant belongs to the nutans variety and has a height of 65-70 cm. The ear is cylindrical in shape, medium length (6 to 9 cm), with medium density. The grain is medium-sized, straw-yellow in color with a slight groove, with a thousand-grain weight of 50-55 g.

Due to these qualities, the variety is recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones.

Since 2000, SN-28 variety has been included in the State Register of Plant Varieties and is primarily intended for grain and fodder purposes. Its adaptive properties and high productivity make it a profitable choice for farmers aiming to obtain quality grain under diverse climatic conditions.
