Description Fink
Fink is a high-yielding spring barley variety with enhanced drought resistance at all growth stages. It features erect plant architecture and resistance to helminthosporiosis, ensuring stable yields even under adverse climatic conditions. Developed at the V. Ya. Yuriev Institute of Plant Sciences through hybridization, it belongs to the Nutans group.

Fink demonstrates high adaptability to arid regions due to rapid vegetation recovery and efficient use of soil moisture reserves. It shows high tolerance to lodging and stem breakage, contributing to grain quality preservation. The variety is intended for forage use, with protein content exceeding 12.5% and crude gluten content above 27%. Thousand-grain weight ranges from 48–50 g, and the maturity period is very early, enabling harvest at optimal times.

To enhance productivity and protect against diseases, full mineral nutrition and the fungicide Phoenix Duo are recommended. Phoenix Duo effectively protects barley from common diseases such as powdery mildew, rust, and fusarium, thereby extending the vegetation period, improving quality, and increasing crop yield.
