Pallidum 77

Pallidum 77 is a winter barley characterized by high yield and stable performance. The variety forms yield through increased grain number per ear and high thousand-grain weight, ranging from 38 to 48 grams. It belongs to mid-season varieties with a vegetation period of approximately 230-249 days, maturing slightly earlier than some other varieties. The ear is six-rowed, long, with straw-yellow color; the grain is large, yellow, and elongated, making it suitable for grain and fodder use.

The variety exhibits high winter hardiness and frost resistance, ensuring reliable winter survival in regions with harsh climatic conditions, including the North Caucasus region. Pallidum 77 demonstrates good drought resistance, rated at 8-9 points, enabling stable yields even under insufficient moisture. Additionally, the variety is resistant to lodging, powdery mildew, striped rust, scab, and also shows enhanced resistance to yellow mosaic virus of barley.

High protein content (around 13%) and favorable agronomic traits make Pallidum 77 attractive to farmers focused on quality grain. The variety is characterized by vigorous tillering and high growth intensity, contributing to yields within the range of 9-10.6 tons per hectare. For successful cultivation, seed treatment is recommended to protect plants from diseases and enhance their viability.
