Maize VN 6969

Technical Insights into VN 6969

The VN 6969 hybrid, developed by VNIS, reflects advanced Ukrainian breeding science, focusing on high-yield grain production. As a simple hybrid, it leverages the heterosis effect to ensure consistent crop performance and uniform development across the field.

Key Breeding and Agronomic Features

• Genetic Architecture: Developed by a team of experts including Serhii Halushchenko and Miroslav Parii, the hybrid is designed for high nutrient-use efficiency and adaptability to varying soil conditions.
• Grain-Focused Performance: The selection process prioritized the physiological efficiency of ear filling. This ensures that resources are directed towards grain weight rather than vegetative biomass, optimizing the harvest index.
• Practical Field Benefits: The simple hybrid structure provides high uniformity, which is essential for uniform maturity and efficient combine harvesting operations, reducing downtime during the harvest season.

In field conditions, VN 6969 demonstrates reliability in grain output. It is engineered for producers who require a high-performing hybrid capable of balancing productivity with resilience, making it a robust choice for industrial grain cultivation.
