MARESI

MARESI is a medium-ripening winter barley variety, distinguished by high resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew and net blotch. The variety exhibits high drought tolerance throughout the entire vegetation period, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. MARESI is characterized by excellent tillering ability and high resistance to lodging, which contributes to stable and high yields. The yield potential ranges from 7 to 10 tons per hectare, while protein content in the grain reaches 13.3%, making it valuable for forage use.

The seeds of the variety weigh between 52-60 grams per 1000 grains, indicating good seed material quality. The variety belongs to the intensive type with high tillering ability and medium maturity, with heading occurring in the medium-late period. MARESI is distinguished by high winter hardiness and good resistance to fungal leaf diseases, ensuring reliable cultivation in various regions.

It is recommended to sow MARESI at optimal times from September 20 to 30 at a sowing rate of 3.0–3.2 million seeds per hectare. Early and late sowing is also possible with corresponding adjustments to the sowing rate. The variety is successfully grown in Ukraine, including such regions as Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Poltava, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv.
