Kremona

Barley variety Cremona is a Canadian winter transgenic variety developed using advanced nanotechnology and DNA transformation. This variety is distinguished by its high frost and drought resistance, confirmed by variety trials under harsh climatic conditions in Canada, North America, Argentina, South Africa, and China, where winter temperatures dropped to -42 °C and summer temperatures reached +48 °C. Plants reach a height of about 110 cm, have upright stems with a tillering coefficient of approximately 26 stems, strong stems, and long cylindrical six-rowed ears measuring 18 cm with long awns. The grain is large and golden, which distinguishes this variety from traditional barley types. The Cremona variety is suitable for both food use and animal feed. It exhibits high resistance to diseases and pests, ensuring stable yields and enabling multi-year cultivation on the same field without loss of quality. The recommended seeding rate is 120 kg per hectare, optimal for achieving maximum productivity. The vegetative period is approximately 240 days when sown in autumn and 120 days when sown in spring, allowing flexible planning of agronomic activities depending on regional climatic conditions. Cremona variety seeds are certified and suitable for cultivation in various regions, including Ukraine. High germination and emergence energy, reaching 98%, ensure reliable and uniform crop development. Thanks to its unique characteristics, such as high productivity, resistance to extreme temperatures and diseases, the Cremona variety is a profitable choice for farmers seeking high-quality and stable barley yields.
