Erema winter barley is a mid-season, multi-row variety intended for grain and fodder use. The plant features a semi-erect, medium-height tiller with erect, cylindrical, and dense spikes covered with moderate to strong wax. The grain is semi-round, medium-sized, with a 1000-grain mass ranging from 33 to 41 grams. Protein content in the grain ranges from 9.9% to 13.3%, ensuring good quality fodder raw material. The variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging, exceeding the standard variety Master by approximately one point. The vegetative period ranges from 221 to 265 days, making it mid-season with maturation 3-4 days later than the Master variety. Winter hardiness is at standard levels, allowing successful cultivation in the North Caucasus and Lower Volga Federal Districts, as well as in the Preazov region of Rostov Oblast. Yield is high: in the recommended zone of Rostov Oblast, it reaches 55.9 centners per hectare, which is 6 centners per hectare higher than the standard, with maximum yield indicators in Stavropol Krai reaching 79.1 centners per hectare. Erema barley has moderate susceptibility to powdery mildew and loose smut, while field conditions show average infection by dwarf rust and helminthosporiosis. The variety's seeds are certified and comply with GOST, confirming their quality and suitability for cultivation.
