Ergeninskiy Holozerny is a variety of spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L.), bred by Russian breeders of FGBOU VO Volgograd State Agricultural University. It belongs to medium-early multi-row varieties with a vegetation period of 54 to 74 days. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 33 to 41 grams, while the average yield reaches 29.9 centners per hectare, with maximum indicators up to 54.6 c/ha in the Kursk region. The variety is resistant to diseases such as stem rust, net blotch, and dark-brown blotch, ensuring stability and quality of the harvest. Ergeninskiy Holozerny barley is characterized by high protein content - up to 23.5%, making it a valuable raw material for flour milling and bakery industries. Thanks to its qualities, grain is widely used for the production of flour and high-quality bakery products. Moreover, the variety is characterized by organic origin, as it is grown without the use of artificial growth stimulants, chemical fertilizers, and pesticides, which increases its ecological safety and nutritional value. This barley variety is also suitable for culinary use: from holozerny barley, useful porridges are prepared, and sprouts are also used for sprouting, consuming sprouts as food. Dishes from this barley are especially recommended for metabolic disorders, obesity, and diabetes, thanks to their useful properties. The shelf life of the grain is 12 months, which allows preserving its quality and nutritional characteristics for a long time.
