BURAN is a mid-late maturing variety of winter barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) of the multi-row type, intended for grain and fodder use. It is characterized by high productivity and an intensive growth type, which ensures stable yields under various climatic conditions. The variety is noted for its good adaptation to arid regions, making it particularly valuable for cultivation in the Republic of Crimea, as well as in the North Caucasus region, including Krasnodar and Stavropol regions. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 33 to 58 grams, indicating large-grainedness and high seed quality. One of the key advantages of the BURAN variety is its resistance to lodging and fungal diseases, which significantly reduces yield losses and improves its quality. The variety also demonstrates good winter hardiness and drought resistance, allowing for successful cultivation in complex climatic conditions. Protein content in the grain ranges from 11.6% to 14.1%, making it valuable for fodder purposes and ensuring high nutritional value. To achieve maximum yield, it is recommended to sow BURAN at optimal times - in the second or third decade of October, with a sowing rate of about 4 million viable seeds per hectare. The yield of the variety reaches 76-101 centners per hectare, confirming its high productivity and economic efficiency.
