Barley of the variety Belana is a high-quality seed material intended for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine. This winter barley was included in the State Register in 2009 and is an original variety developed by SAATEN-UNION GMBH from Germany. The seeds have a hectare weight of 65-68 kg, a 1000-seed mass of 46-48 g, and a protein content of 13-14%, indicating high grain quality and nutritional value.
The Belana variety is characterized by moderate winter hardiness and high resistance to leaf diseases, ensuring reliable yields under adverse weather conditions. Additionally, barley demonstrates moderate resistance to heat and drought, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones. These characteristics contribute to stable plant development and high crop productivity.
To protect barley Belana from pests, the insecticide Belem is recommended, which effectively combats insect pests and promotes healthy plant growth. Combined with high-quality seed material and proper agronomic practices, this ensures high yields and crop resilience against adverse factors.
