GRANDCHILD

The fruit calyx has sparse spines, which facilitates harvest collection.

The fruits of the 'Grandchild' eggplant are pear-shaped, colored in a rich purple hue with a glossy surface. The average fruit weight is about 150–200 grams. The flesh is whitish, tasty, without bitterness, and has small seeds, making this variety versatile for home cooking. Eggplants are excellent for preparing various dishes, including eggplant licho, caviar, and canning.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to follow the optimal planting scheme—60–65 cm between rows and 30–35 cm between plants in a row. The best predecessors for this variety are onions, carrots, pumpkins, and legumes. It is recommended to grow seedlings without thinning, which promotes earlier harvest collection. The variety is suitable for cultivation in open ground or under temporary film coverings.
