Botsman

The Bozman eggplant is an early and medium-early variety suitable for growing both in open ground and in greenhouses. The plant is bushy, indeterminate, has vigorous growth and dense foliage, reaching a height of 150 to 300 cm depending on growing conditions. The recommended planting density is 2.5 to 3.5 plants per square meter, ensuring an optimal yield of up to 5.5 kg per square meter. Seeds are sown in mid-March, and seedlings are transplanted from late May to early June. Bozman eggplant fruits are distinguished by their unusual shape and coloration. They can be elliptical or round, with a mass ranging from 160 to 600 grams depending on the description and growing conditions. Fruit color varies from light green with spots and stripes to dark green, while the flesh can be greenish or white, without bitterness, making them particularly attractive for home cooking and canning. Skin thickness is 7-8 mm, and fruit size reaches 11-14 cm in length and 10-11 cm in width. At technical maturity, fruits have a dark green color, while at biological maturity they may acquire a red hue. The Bozman variety is characterized by good yield and is adapted for growing in various climatic zones, including Ukraine, Moldova, and Russia. It is GMO-free and pairs well with companion plants such as basil, while fennel is an antagonistic plant for it. Technical maturity occurs 120-125 days after germination, and biological maturity occurs on the 150th day. Thanks to its taste qualities and versatility in application, Bozman eggplant is an excellent choice for vegetable gardening enthusiasts and home canning.
