Maugli

The Maugli eggplant variety is an early-maturing crop suitable for cultivation in both open and protected ground. The plants are compact and of medium height - about 45-55 cm, with a spreading bush and a densely hairy stem without anthocyanin coloring. Leaves are large, green, smooth with a slightly wavy margin. The fruits have an elliptical shape, medium length of 15-18 cm and weight from 60 to 170 g, with a characteristic strong gloss and purple color. A feature of the variety is the absence of spines on the calyx, which facilitates harvesting.

The flesh of Maugli eggplants is dense, whitish or slightly greenish, without bitterness, making the fruits versatile and tasty for various culinary purposes. The variety is distinguished by stable fruit formation at low temperatures and does not drop fruit set at high temperatures in greenhouses, ensuring high yield. Under plastic coverings, yield reaches 4.5 kg/m², and in general over 8 kg/m² with proper care.

The Maugli variety is resistant to the main eggplant diseases, which reduces the need for frequent application of protective agents. Early maturation and high productivity make this variety attractive to gardeners and farmers. To achieve maximum yield, it is recommended to observe agronomic requirements and provide optimal growing conditions.
