Early high-yielding hybrid with excellent flavor qualities
Otello F1 — Early eggplant hybrid, from seedling transplanting to the start of fruit harvest — 50-55 days. Compact plant, 40-60 cm tall. Fruits are cylindrical, dark purple, glossy, uniform, 15-18 cm long. Flesh has dense texture, light-colored, with high flavor quality, no bitterness. Seed cavity occupies 1/3 of the fruit. Fruits of early Otello F1 eggplant for a long time do not form seeds, which significantly increases their marketability. Color is bright, shiny, deep purple. Yield of early Otello F1 eggplant is 60 t/ha and above. A distinctive feature of early Otello F1 hybrid is heat resistance and continuous fruiting — up to 10-12 fruits at technical ripeness. Transportable. Otello F1 eggplant has high resistance to fruit aging. Regular harvesting, every 5-7 days, extends the vegetative period and increases yield. Irrigation affects eggplant fruit quality, enhancing their marketability and average weight. Eggplants are heat-loving plants; all agronomic practices, especially during the vegetative period, should promote better soil warming. Therefore, the primary task is to conduct timely and quality inter-row cultivation. Planting scheme: 70 Х 30 cm for drip irrigation, 90+50 Х (25-30) cm for drip irrigation. Eggplants are grown through seedlings (seedling age — 60-70 days). The most common method of growing eggplant seedlings is sowing seeds in trays.
