Tomato Ballada

Reliability and Classics in the Determinate Tomato Segment

The «Ballada» tomato from the Ukrainian breeding company Nasko has long established a reputation as a workhorse in the mid-season variety segment. Growers focused on predictable results in open-field cultivation choose this variety for its consistent performance. With a growing season of 100 to 120 days, the plant demonstrates excellent adaptability to field conditions, which is critical for large-scale vegetable farming.

Agronomic Potential and Yield Characteristics

The strength of this variety lies in the balance between yield and marketability. With a planting density of 40,000 to 60,000 plants per hectare, «Ballada» is capable of generating yields of 70 to 100 tons per hectare. The flattened-round shape of the red fruits, weighing 100–150 grams, is considered the gold standard for both fresh produce markets and processing.

• Stress Resistance: Genetic resistance to Alternaria and Tomato Mosaic Virus (TMV) helps significantly reduce the fungicide load in the field.
• Logistical Advantages: The firmness of the fruits ensures high transportability. A shelf life of up to 20–30 days after harvest makes this variety attractive for supply to retail chains.

The determinate growth habit significantly simplifies crop maintenance, making «Ballada» an optimal solution for agricultural enterprises seeking to optimize costs without compromising the quality of marketable produce.
