Practical Application of 'Semeynaya' Aster

The 'Semeynaya' peony-flowered aster is a professional-grade variety, favored by both commercial flower growers and landscape designers. Developed by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing, this variety is engineered for structural integrity and high aesthetic quality, making it a reliable choice for intensive cultivation.

Usage Scenarios

• Commercial Cut Flowers: With plant heights reaching 50–80 cm, this variety is perfectly suited for professional bouquet production. Its dense, double flowers, ranging from 8 to 15 cm in diameter, exhibit excellent vase life, ensuring they remain marketable during transport and retail stages.
• Landscape Design: 'Semeynaya' serves as an excellent mid-to-background element in borders and formal flower beds. Its upright habit and robust stems allow the massive flowers to remain displayed effectively even after moderate rainfall.

Cultivation Insights

To achieve the maximum blossom size of 15 cm, growers should prioritize fertile, well-draining soil and ensure optimal light exposure. In field conditions, proper spacing is essential to facilitate air circulation, which helps manage plant health and prevents fungal pathogens during the peak blooming phase. Consistent fertilization and water management are the keys to maintaining the characteristic peony-like structure that makes this variety highly sought after for decoration.
