Astra Lady Coral is a unique series of European selection with double-petaled flower heads that combine the beauty of a rose and the elegance of a chrysanthemum. The flower heads have a spherical shape with a diameter of 10-12 cm and consist of narrow white petal-shaped petals. Plants form powerful bushes of a regular pyramidal shape, 60-70 cm high, with sturdy stems, which makes them resistant to adverse weather conditions, including heavy rain and wind. Blooming is abundant and prolonged, and thanks to dense flower heads, the flowers retain freshness for a long time both in the garden and in cut flowers.
To grow Astra Lady Coral, the seedling method is recommended. Seeds are sown at the end of March – beginning of April in a light fertile soil, covered with a layer of soil of 0.5 cm, moistened and covered with film or glass. At the phase of 2-3 true leaves, seedlings are transplanted according to a scheme of 5x5 cm. Seedlings are planted in open ground from mid-May to early June. It is also possible to grow without seedlings by sowing seeds early in spring or in winter with subsequent mulching with peat or sawdust. For successful growth, astra prefers well-lit areas with fertile loam or loamy soil.
The Lady Coral variety is characterized by high resistance to fusarium and, thanks to the large number of flower heads on one plant, retains its decorative properties for a long time under any weather conditions. These asters are ideal for professional cultivation for cut flowers, as bouquets from them last a long time in vases, maintaining freshness and appeal. Lush bushes and impressive flowers make Lady Coral a wonderful decoration for flower beds and flower beds.
