Spike aster of the variety Elya is a hardy and decorative plant that will be an ornament for any garden and an excellent material for creating bouquet compositions. The bush reaches a height of about 70 cm, while the flower stalks can grow up to 60 cm in length, ensuring an impressive appearance. The flowers are double, up to 12 cm in diameter, with needle-like petals of a light lilac or blue shade, gathered into spherical inflorescences resembling a festive fireworks display. Up to 20 buds bloom on one bush simultaneously, and the flowering period lasts from late July to September or October, allowing you to enjoy bright colors and aroma for 40-45 days.

Elya is characterized by high resistance to diseases, pests, and colds down to -3 degrees, making it an ideal choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The plant prefers sunny areas or light partial shade and fertile, light soils. For successful cultivation from seeds, it is recommended to sow them in open ground in April to a depth of up to 1 cm, ensuring regular watering without waterlogging. After the third leaf appears, seedlings are thinned, leaving about 30 cm between plants and up to 20 cm between rows. It is important to avoid adding organic fertilizers in the year of planting to avoid harming young plants.

In addition to decorative qualities, aster Elya is valued by florists for the long-lasting freshness of cut flowers — in water, they retain an attractive appearance and delicate aroma for up to 14 days. Thanks to strong and straight stems, flowers do not require additional support, which facilitates care and use in bouquets.
