Description ALDEBAR
The Aldebar apricot variety is an early-mid-season stone fruit culture intended for universal use. The tree is of medium height, slightly spreading with moderate crown density. Fruit bodies are primarily located on fruit buds and one-year-old shoots. Shoots are straight, reddish-brown, and hairless. Leaves are wide, rounded, green, smooth and slightly glossy, with a double-serrated edge and no hairiness. Flowers are solitary, white, with rounded petals.

Aldebar fruits have an average mass of about 58-60 grams, a wide-oval or round shape with a smooth pink skin color on an orange background. The skin is of medium thickness, velvety, with moderate hairiness and no waxy bloom, fitting closely to the flesh. The flesh is orange, dense, moderately juicy and fused-fibrous, with a single-colored cavity. The pit is egg-shaped, brown, smooth, and separates easily from the flesh. The fruit flavor is highly rated, with a tasting score of 4.7 points.

The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness, withstanding temperatures down to -16 degrees, and medium resistance to diseases such as monilia burn and clasterosporiosis. The yield of the variety is high — about 102.3 centners per hectare. Thanks to the dense skin and good transportability, the fruits retain their market appearance during transport and storage, making Aldebar attractive for commercial cultivation and marketing.
